The word "Quality" is regularly associated with German products. Manufactured in Germany, NAV LiteBoard is no exception to this rule. Highly skilled engineers have designed NAV LiteBoard to be a structurally sound, yet lightweight substrate that is proving to be very popular in the Australian design industry.
NAV LiteBoard is constructed in a similar way to normal particle board but has a modified core layer containing a mixture of small polystyrene balls and core layer chips, which are glued using a conventional gluing system. The result is a board material, which is on average 33.5% lighter than particle board, and on average 41% lighter than MDF but can be processed and used in almost exactly the same ways as standard particle board and MDF.
NAV LiteBoard can be supplied as FSC Certified. Using FSC Certified NAV LiteBoard can add to Green Star Credits in eco-friendly building projects. The FSC certification means that components used in the production of NAV LiteBoard are guaranteed to have been sourced from forests which are managed according to a strict set of environmental, social and economic standards, recognised worldwide or from non controversial sources.NAV LiteBoard is available in thicker sizes than standard particle board, MDF and other similar substrates. These new, thicker sizes open up a whole range of different applications and concepts. NAV LiteBoard is available in 16mm, 33mm, 40mm and 49mm thicknesses.
